First time renewing my license and I got audited!

Got a letter about a week ago and I was one of the lucky 3%'ers that got audited. I wound up only needing 23.75 hours since it hasn't been a full year since I've had my license. I actually had 39.5 hours since I wanted to take advantage of taking an extra 15 hours into the next renewal period...

One big tip if you have a driver picking you up

Make sure they bring you a beer right after the exam. My wife had a IIPA that I chugged in the parking lot right after the test and it was the best thing in the world.

Elevator pressurization and stairwell pressurization fan sizing code/guidelines

Our company has been working on several jobs that require elevator and stairwell pressurization fans. One of the jobs an engineer used CONtam to model how in the event of a fire the building would behave. Contam is only as good as the inputs you give it but it also considers wind pressure, stack...

Shouldn't we be hearing from the 1st time test takers coming up soon?

Seems like it's around that 4-5 month time before the October test. For some reason I recall this time around for the April test was busier than what it is now.

Oregon State 2014 OEESC increased minimum EER to 10

We've been using Amana which are suddenly not code compliant. This increase affects SPVAC, SPVHP (3.0 COP heating and 10 EER cooling). The only manufacturer that I am aware of that meets the 10 EER is Magic-Pak. Any others out there that you know of...
