    For a few years I have been at a mid-sized consulting firm that designs all facets of substations and transmission lines and there hasn't been any real shortage of work since I have been there.

    how many hours do you work

    40-55 hrs/wk, hourly, consulting engineering firm. Have to constantly tell my wife it's an "opportunity". I wouldn't even dream of asking for overtime pay from management.
