AM Construction Problem - Most Nearly Term in the Question

I got $233,131.31 as well. "C" is most nearly. I think the trick here is the the .5 mean water level. Failure in this subtraction will put you at i$240, which would be "D".

Thanks Todddod. Time management is defiantly one area I need to improve. I got hooked on a few questions and really burnt up some valuable time. I gotta learn when to throw the towel in and move on. Classifying questions 1-4 is a great idea. Thanks

Thanks Mark! I defiantly like your site and sample questions. I've already started reviewing. I agree that I need a real-person class and change my study tactics. I spent a lot of time studying non exam material the last few times. I need direction and I need to stay focused on construction...

Has anyone taken the learnengineering.com class? Feedback appreciated.

@Road Guy; I've been out of school for 25 years which makes it tough. I work for the Railroad/ signal construction. Very few calculation or design work. Mostly field inspection. Has anyone taken the learnengineering.com class? Feedback appreciated.

I'm trying to choose a prep course to take for the civil/construction PE exam. I'm a 3 time looser and have to wait until April 2015 to sit again. I took the NC State prep course last time but still fell short. I need some help! Any feedback would be deeply appreciated.

Opinions welcomed on switching from construction to geotech discipline

@Predgw, thanks for the reply and thoughts. I'm taking the PE for personal goals and to simply separate myself from the masses. And most importantly trying to challenge myself to reach the next level. When you reach 50 it's gets a little routine.

Opinions welcomed on switching from construction to geotech discipline

I was hoping to get some feedback from some of you about switching discipline from construction to geotech. I have 3 exam failures all of which are about 10 questions short of passing. I work in the field of railroad signal construction and rarely practice where calculations are necessary. To...
