    Has anyone used this reference?

I used that book for the October exam. I think it is a good reference to have on hand instead of the big book for the afternoon portion of the exam. As far as how much I actually used it during the exam, I think maybe a few times, mostly for the hydraulic piping examples.

So, we passed, now we wait again.. New York

Wow, that sucks guys. In Vermont they just send you a congratulations letter and say "the last 5 numbers of your credential # is your license number". It was Dec 13th, Pass, December 15th, license number, December 21, PE stamp...

    Passed, Pay Raise?

I think the 30k offer was more definitely an insult considering the amount of bussiness they were bring in over a five year period. The construction engineering job I had paid more than that, although, still not engineering money 37k. I thiis area, if you are working for a small company, it...

    Passed, Pay Raise?

Yes, 52k as a civil engineer, no geotech or structural. HIstorically those two areas get paid more than a typical civil concentrated. Factor in that fact that these jobs are in Vermont and New Hampshire (not very populated compared to NC or FL) and you can start to see why the salaries are so...

    Passed, Pay Raise?

I would just settle for full time work with benefts right now. Currently I am only working 3 days a week. I think pay raises ultimately depend on the your general location and how good your company is at getting contracts. I worked for a company last year, their idea of PE money is around...

    Centrifugal Pump - Vector Diagram

In the two times I have taken the exam, I have not seen any vector pump problems. Everything was tied to TDH, Velocity head, EGL or the HGL. I think you have more to worry about in mass/flow problems, lbs/day when they give you mg/L....Oh does wastewater suck.

    Failed EIT Test Takers

I think it is more dependant on what you feel comfortable with. Same as you, I graduated with a 2.02 gpa, I actually failed the test the first time (gen-gen), full prep course by the college I went to. The second time I took it, I was a year out of college and literally spent 2 hours cramming...

Same here...I just looked at my diagnostic report and figured what areas I needed to work in the most. Kind of interesting, I had to take the FE exam twice as well.

    Failed...looking at review courses

I personally did not like School of PE. They are great at getting you ready for the morning exam, but not that great for the afternoon depth portion of the exam (WR). I used them the first time around, did awesome in the morning(39/40) and bombed the afternoon portion(13/40). They do have...

    After finding out your results!

Well since I passed I did the most logical thing any sane person would do. I moved the books that I took the test with out of the back seat of my car. I didnt crap my pants like I thought I would, it was more like I sharded myself.

    Map: October 2012 Exam Results

Did you read your diagnostic? That was the very first thing I did when I failed the first time. I found the areas I needed to improve in and went from there. Also, I used the exam cafe on the ppi2pass website. It was good for practice problems.
