    Easiest way is to use formula give in Traffic Engineering Handbook, Pg: 332 L = VK25(1+p)/Nc v= peak 15-min flow rate K = constant to reflact random arrival of vehicle, usually 2 p = percent trucks Nc = no. of cycle per hour = 300*2*25 (1+0.1)/40 Answer is B = 413 ft

    Loading question

    My understanding was to get worst case scenario you need to take moment about footing A: (Wind load x Height of footing) + ((dead load + live load) x distance between footing). I thought the answer will be wind + dead + live load, am I doing something wrong?

    85th Percentile Speed Question

    I am positive the answer to this question is 43 mph. I looked a similar problem in Traffic Engineering text book by Roess, Prassas and McShane pg. 210 I have attached the solution, I hope it explains it.
