    Map: April 2012 Results

I live in AL and still haven't received mine. Are we sure they've been mailed? The Alabama BELS website usually updates when results are mailed, but right now it just says the results will be given out after Memorial Day.

    Cut score question.

Just because the cut score isn't published doesn't mean there isn't one. There is one. All problems are weighted equally. Everyone with a 55/80 will experience the same fate.

    Cut score question.

Someone on this board reported getting a 50/80 and failing. I'm guessing 52 is probably the minimum score where you have a decent chance of passing.. but I'm sure it varies. I don't think anyone doing better than 54 would fail though.

    NCEES # 111 Power

I'm missing something very basic and crucial here. I'm assuming that IaA/sqrt(3) is used to get IAB? Why isn't the drop found by simply using the current through Zline (IaA)? Any help would be appreciated.

    NCEES # 111 Power

In your first method... how did you know to use IAB rather than IaA?

    NCEES #536- charging current?

Chapter 9 of the Handbook of Electric Power Calculations has the formula and a few examples. The example on pg 9.28 has the formula written incorrectly (it shows multiplying by Xc rather than dividing), but the calculation is correct.
