I didn't see the use for that book in the October 11 exam, but you never know, it might be needed for the April 12 exam.

i am taking the exam second time here. i used NEC 2008 and scored 7/10 because the remaining three questions drove me crazy since i swear they don't exist in the book.. i will be using NEC 2011 for the April exam, it's more than enough, you don't need the handbook.

Actually, that's my first time taking the test, but i was told about that in my PE class. Either photocopy what you have and/or write in ink over your pencil notes. Better do that than get in trouble with one of the exam proctors.

Quick tip for the examination: Do not use pencil on any of the reference material that you'll be bringing with you to the exam, ALWAYS USE PEN instead. Reason is that they don't want you to copy exam questions on your notes. I might be stating the obvious, but wanted to let ppl know about this...
