    Constrution Depth - Oct 2010

Honestly, I don't know. I employed the "I don't need 100% to pass" method. I studied what I already knew so I wouldn't spend needless time on it, I did practice problems from one of the Civil PE test books, and I brought as many books as I could fit in my old lady cart, organized by percieved...

    Constrution Depth - Oct 2010

It was by W.F. Chen. I think there's a new version out now... this is the version I have http://www.amazon.com/Civil-Engineering-Ha...s/dp/0849389534 Its not the easiest book to navigate, but it has all the disciplines and a decent index. Good Luck! edited: This book didn't really help on...

State of board for International Engineerins

Yes, each state is different. They all have their own procedures and requirements, and they used to have different tests. Most use the NCEES test now I think. Fortunately they also have websites that are fairly easy to navigate. Good luck. Washington required 1 Washington PE to sponsor you...

State of board for International Engineerins

Indiana has provisions for accepting applicants with degrees from international universitys, but you still need the experience and the references. I imagine the references will be the hardest for an international applicant to get. I think you need five Indiana PE's. I never looked into it...

What was your post feelings and results of the exam

This was my first time taking the exam. I took the Civil - Construction. I studied maybe 20 hours for the exam. I didn't really know what to study, as there isn't good reference material for the construction depth. So I focused on getting stronger at things I already knew (structural) and...

    Constrution Depth - Oct 2010

SOE is support of excavation. Soil Pressures and loads on coffercells and retaining walls for working in trenches. the Civil Handbook is a really thick book they made me buy in college that has every civil topic known to man in it. That plus the PE study guide and the black steel book got me...

    Constrution Depth - Oct 2010

I passed the Construction. Knowing your economics is key. Understanding depreciation and interest. Also, having the right reference books. I had my OSHA book, which made several of the questions really easy. I didn't have the ACI book, so I missed another really easy question...

    No Studying

I studied maybe 20 hours. One solid day and then an hour here and there for a couple weeks. My degree was in Civil Structural and I took a lot of hydro courses, but I work for a construction company, so I was solid on the structural, construction, and hydraulic components. The rest I just...

    Response From Employer

I don't expect anything. I work for a construction company so they get no real benefit from my having it. My raises and promotions are based on merit. I'm not any smarter because I have it, and I'll work just as hard. If anything, it might open an opportunity later on, but for now, life goes on.

I think for the CPA, they get the results immediatly. They take the exam on a computer.

    Latest update from NCEES

i think the abiguity is to our benefit. as much as it sucks to wait. I know I'll be on the edge between passing and failing, so it depends on where they draw the line. I'm happy to wait if they are figuring out where that line should be. If I aced it, i'd be pissed waiting. Hopefully I...
