    ASME/PPI Courses?

I highly recommend the PPI refresher course on DVDs by Dr. James Kamm for both morning and afternoon preparation. The best strategy is to view/ listen to a course topic (e.g. refrigeration), solve some basic practice problems given at the end, and then tackle the same topic on the MERM. PLEASE...

Sorry, didn't finish........ That would mean delays to all results and not just individual results. Your colleague's acting a jerk.

I'm guessing any unusual statistics may cause more analysis of the results and could cause delays.

What do they mean by "when results have been validated by state board"?

How to use charts during the exam?

I've gotten used to drawing process lines on the charts while solving problems during my preparation (e.g. Psych, H-S, etc..) Is NCEES anal about not marking our own charts? Are the ones provided as clear as the ones in the ASHRAE books? Please advise.

Is psi the same as psia?

    Can you please explain how you got dp = 122psi? 5 gpm in 1" SCH 40 steel pipe has 1.85 ft/sec velocity Velocity head = v^2/(2g) = 0.05 ft Converting to psi = 0.05*62.4/144 = 0.02 psi

    NCEES HVAC # 530

The problem gives a super heat of 20degrees at the compressor. The load on the evaporator does not take this into consideration. Any one know why? Isn't the effect of superheat added to the net refrigeration effect?
