In addition to tabbing similar to Shaggy method, I made a MERM index. This index is 3-4 pages showing the major topics. I used this in study and on the test. It's faster than the detailed MERM Index. I printed it and put it in front of my Printed MERM index in a binder. MERM_Index.xls

I am still waiting for my license even though I passed. The DMV is way more efficient and less expensive than the office of the Professions. They seem to post about 10 licenses per day. Mabye an IE could help them out.

I can't answer your question directly. I send my app in for Mid October and heard from NY state in Jan (maybe Feb). This was for the April test.

I cannot suggest a review course. I can tell you I prepared for the test and did not take a class. I believe I was properly prepared for the test, by self studying the MERM.

I'm taking it in the Albany area. I am going to bring a bottle of water and 2 power bars and if the Proctor takes it, so be it. I too am staying in a hotel but will be driving to the exam since the exam is not in a hotel.

In my ticket provided by Castle Worldwide, it states No Food and Drink is allowed in the test room. This is NY I think that is very unfair in that it will be hard for me to get thru without eating anything between Lunch and the end of the day. Does anyone know if that rule is enforced?

If this is the problem I remember correctly, I solved it using the rate of corrosion found on the sample over 72 hours and multiplying by 365/3 (and also adjusting for size). There was no MERM formula per se.
