I took the surveying exam with Prometric in April and there is a clock on the computer screen so you can always see the time. I also felt the booklet with figures was cumbersome and hoped that in 6 months they could have found a better system.

Can you clarify where you heard this? Seems far fetched. This is a legal requirement by the state that engineers must pass this test. I do not see how they can simply wave that.

Saying that it's a security issue makes it sound like there was an attempt to leak the exam. But from what I understood it was a printing issue. Someone messed up.

I was at the San mateo site and ours was cancelled as well. Same explaination that the survey exam actually had seismic questions. My copy looked OK (at least the first question)
