Thanks all for your reply. I have NCEES Record. When I applied NY PE, I just asked NCEES to send my material to NY and it saved me lots of time. I just wonder if IL or other States have SE license accept NCEES record? Thanks.

What's the next step after you passed the exams if your state does not have separate license for SE?

Just got the official NCEES notice - Passed 2nd attempt Vertical Bridge. Passed 1st Lateral Bridge last November.

I never did seismic design before, so I spent a little more time on lateral than vertical. But in fact, I still cannot handle vertical AM exam as a bridge engineer due to lots of building questions.

Failed Vertical Bridge: AM: 22/40, PM: All Acceptable.

Yes, I am lucky to pass one. For vertical I also passed PM. I only spent two months on both exams, I am satisfied with the results.

Albany. only I and other building guy. I think it's hard to show all the proper steps in such a short time, not mention to get everything right. I guess it will be acceptable if you finish above 75% questions.

Just from my personal experience. When I took practice exams one week ago, I have to guess about 10~12 questions. And also I thought it's more straight than NCEES (lots of tricks in NCEES).

I took vertical and lateral (bridge) first time and felt time is extremely tight. Guess about 6~7 questions of morning and hardly to finish all for afternoon. But anyway I would say it's much easier than the NCEES practice exams. I will have to re-take both next April. Since I only spent two...

Considering quite a few people did not show up during the exam, the pass rate is more than 50%. In fact in my row only 2 persons were sitting in 5 positions.
