    Master's Degree required for P.E.?

you touched on a very valid point. i don't know how many colleagues studied one field of CivilE in college, and now practice in another after working for a bit. it's absurd to burden those students with more classwork (and debt) for a career path they may not even enjoy or stick with. i will...

    Master's Degree required for P.E.?

a master's degree is irrelevant. i learned more in my first year out of college than i ever wouldve taking any combination of classes for a master's. i do, however, support a maximum number of PE exam attempts, be it 5 or 7 or so. if you can't pass this exam in that number of tries, you...

    Structural PM

6 minute solutions, ncees practice problems, read through CERM, read through all the codes. if you know your way around the codes, this exam is brutally easy.

    Indiana PE Wall Certificate

I just got mine in the mail Saturday. Got a wallet card, and a crappy 5x7 "wall certificate." I was expecting something a little nicer for the $100 I had to send in to get the damn thing.

    P.E Exam requirements

Good. One of the prerequisites for citizenship should be knowing how many fucking states are in the Union.

    CERM 10th vs 11th Editions

I used the 9th edition and didn't have any problems. The construction questions are so easy you don't really need any references.

just took the lindeburg practice test

Posted this elsewhere, but in my experience, having worked with all the Lindeburg exam prep material, 6 Minute Solutions, and the NCEES sample exam, the NCEES sample exam was the only thing remotely representative of what was on the exam.

    2009 April SE I exam

It will end up as a moot point. If your locale requires an SE license, then passing the Civil PE probably won't mean as much. If your locale requires nothing more than a PE license, then passing Structural I doesn't get you anything more than passing the Civil PE. A prospective employer cares...

    REFERENCES FOR AM PORTION

Seems like everyone got screwed over by "that question." Which was total BS by the way, since NCEES specifically states you only need those type of references for the depth module.

April 09' Civil PE Exam - How did it go?

Six Minute Solutions were more complex than anything I saw on the exam. The sample questions NCEES puts out were spot on.

    Structural PM

There is much less emphasis on crunching numbers, and much more emphasis on knowing your way around a certain code, and understanding structural engineering theory.

    steel Manual

Get the 13th edition, and know how to use all the tables in the early chapters. You'll thank me later.
