Side work while working for USACE

Many government entities requires waivers from upper management to freelance. Like @tj_PE mentioned, conflict of interest is a big deal when working in the public sector.

Environmental or Civil Water Resources & Environmental PE?

I completely agree with matt267 PE's comments. I have an undergrad in civil and masters with environmental/water resources focus. My practice is in the environmental sector but I took the Civil-WRE exam because of the same reasons cited above.

    The Running Thread

Thanks @leggo PE and @kevo_55 for the suggestions and encouraging words. I intend to start again this Sunday after a week of rest and hopefully the shin splints would have healed by then.

    The Running Thread

I'm trying to get back into running after a long hiatus of not much physical activities. I was in decent shape 3 plus years ago where my BMI and overall health was significantly better.  Anyhow, I've gained more than 15 lbs since then and and I'm not in a great physical shape. I feel motivated...

Civil-WRE, 2nd Attempt- Failed: Which Course Should I Take /What Should I do now?

I'd highly recommend EET as well. Please go through detailed posts from other members who took this course and passed. I passed back in 2014 and hope Nazrul is still teaching the WRE depth portion. He's an awesome instructor!

    School of PE vs EET

I failed the Civil-water resources exam a couple of times by relying on self study and was thinking to enroll in a prep class before the October exam. I scored 52/80 in the April exam and think with some help I could increase the odds of passing in the next try. I scored 26 in both am and pm...
