Generally pencil is not allow since that is what you take the test in and how they tell if you are marking in your books or not. However, it is something that you should check with your state about.

How do you know it's 15" and not 18"? Based on the table 490.24 it would seem that you would need to know the BIL of the device in order to answer the question.

It's not a 3-phase load. That is why there is not a square root of 3. It is a single phase load. Thus, why 3300/220 = 15A.

I've taken the test the past two times. I've got 67 and 66%. The first test I got 46 right and the second I got 47 right. Essentially it is based on the number of problems they throw out. If you get 50+ right on the test you should receive a passing score.

to get a passing score you need to get roughly 47-50 out of 80 questions correct.
