I have that reference and "Masonry Structural Design" by Tanner & Klingner. I used the Tanner and Klingner for the gravity exam but used the CMA one for the lateral exam. You can't beat that price though.
I used them for the lateral portion of the exam and thought they were really helpful. I used them for the afternoon portion for concrete and wood. I want to hang on to mine though since they are really good references for design. I would definitely recommend them as references though.
