I've looked at both the SE specific and Civil/Structural specific 6 min solutions. They're almost identical

My advice to you is to cover everything again. Don't be surprised (I know I was) when the test looks different than the last time. By this I mean they test you on different concepts.

Typically, they allow any book or reference into the exam room, including the SERM. Does Illinois have a special policy regarding that? Otherwise, refer to the NCEES website: http://www.ncees.org/exams/professional/#bring

Look at Ch 78. It has small sections on both those topics. I think that entire chapter is important, though.
