    My husband and I spent the last 18 months preparing for these exams. He took the PE thermo fluids and I took the FE mechanical and PE mechanical materials.     Ohio Recomendation requirements - help

    My license is in texas but here you do not have to work for your references. I had friends write my recs and all three were approved. Call and ask, they are usually very helpful about the application process.

    Machine design and materials. It's one of the three ME depths and it was awful.

    Has anyone in texas had their set up change recently on the tbpe dashboard. I swear it use to be a check list but now it says being added to internal system check back at the end of the day.

    The one liner equation for a crank slider problem can also be found in the reference book by Timothy Kennedy.  Just got his book last week and its great. The equation is much simpler than the one above but it uses only x and y values instead of theta so you do have to do basic trig to figure out...

    Eccentric Loading of Welded Joint / Torsion

    Ski, I am not a pro on this topic but in my notes for the PE exam regarding Ecc. Loaded welded connections it says that welds are treated as lines and that is why you multiple J against just the weld throat thickness. Hope this helps.
