If I recall correctly it was 5-10 working days - I asked them via the chat function on the website and they told me. One of my jobs took 3 rounds of review to get it worded the way they wanted it, it was never longer than the timeframe they told me but it was always close to the max.

I get A as well.  Maybe it's just me, but I found it to be a challenging problem, but a good one.

It looks like all versions of the Mechanical PE are still on the 2020 tentative timeline - so we've got a few years before it switches.  I still think I'll try and pass the first run through though (here in 10 days).

Yes, that makes sense.  I wanted to make sure there isn't some way to know the orientation without the additional view.

How is it known from the information given that t is the depth into the page, rather than the width (which would make I = (2*t^3)/12)?

I get C. Maximum stress = tensile stress + bending stress = F/A + My/I = 3000/(2*t) + 3000lb(3in)/(1/12*t*2^3) = 30000 when t = 0.5.
