    Any terrible exam day experiences?

@btcs31, I also thought I locked myself out of my car when I went in for the 5-hour energies. When I realized I didn't I was extremely relieved. I would have had to break a window, and I would have done it. Luckily it didn't come to that. @Blue 8, fortunately I had earplugs in and the dog...

    Any terrible exam day experiences?

I took the exam in Timonium, MD and stayed in the Holiday Inn, which is really close to the exam site. The night before, I took a ride to the fairgrounds to where the exam was being given, scoped out a couple close spots for lunch, grabbed a bite to eat at Panera and then went back to the hotel...

    MD Exam - Timonium Area

@John Q, I was told by someone who took the exam at this location previously to be sure you have a watch. He ended up taking the exam and had no idea what time it was the whole time. Hope that helps.

What's your game plan for the next few days before the test?

I think I am done studying now, The goal is to avoid simple, stupid mistakes on the exam and get the ones right that I know how to do. I plan on getting everything packed up tonight and ready to go. My wife is excited to get the dining room back in order.

Thanks Lundy, that makes sense. I'll go that route.

What's your game plan for the next few days before the test?

@ John Q, Better yet, go buy the same exact calculator that you plan on using, leave it in the packaging and return it once you don't use it during the exam. I think this is better than having something that you are unfamiliar with.

    Recommendation for ME PE courses

SNAPE/SMOTT PE, Hoping Dr. Tom's works for me as it did for you. 1st time test taker on Friday. Question for you: Did you find yourself working mostly from the DTEDC or from the PRNs during the exam? I'm hoping that I can get through most of it with the DTEDC and only using the PRNs for backup.

What's your game plan for the next few days before the test?

Running through the PM portion of the NCEES sample exam again today. I'm at the point now where I don't think I'm going to learn anything new, but just want to be sure I haven't forgotten anything. Tomorrow I have some non-quantitative problems to work from the class that I took. Thursday I...

    Pennsylvania PE experience requirements

PMC, There is another option that I know a few coworkers have used, here in PA. In Maryland, to take the PE exam, you are required to have your EIT certification as well as 4 years experience. The experience is not required to come after you pass the FE as it is here in PA. It may be worth...

With 10 days to go, what are you focusing on?

Most of the other problems that I worked came from Dr. Tom's 20 week review course, which I recently completed. I also completed examples outlined in the MERM where I found appropriate. I bought the Lindeburg problems that accompany the MERM, but never touched it. I hear the problems in there...

With 10 days to go, what are you focusing on?

@Lundy I've also been through the PE practice test and SMS problems quite a few times, figured it was a good way to wrap things up one last time before the exam. I'm just ready to get it over with at this point.

With 10 days to go, what are you focusing on?

Seems like a good time to revive this 5 year old thread. With 10 days to go, I'm working on HVAC & Heat Transfer the rest of this week, and then working and reworking the NCEES practice exam up until next Tuesday 4/7. Retabbing the MERM on Wednesday, since my tabs are in pretty bad shape...
