Yea I have the MVA method down though want to make sure I understand calculating using per-unit also.
There are a lot of formulas using per-units that I'm not familiar with - like Ssc = Spu/Zpu. Is there a good reference showing how these are derived? Though I think I'll just keep with what I...
is the solution wrong by saying "Ssc = 1/Zpu = 2.75pu" - isn't this Isc unless it is V2/Z
i didn't use Isc i used MVAsc = MVA base / Zpu to get the answer.
can someone please explain this simple thing to my crazy brain?
Thanks.
Guys I did the calculation as r1*r1/(r1+r1) and of course it is an answer though wrong according to the ncees. they just find the impedance and divide by 2.
anyone have good material for non-linear problems? this is the only subject I feel week in and thought i might study a little deeper this week. any online material would be great.
I sent Josh an email about errata and on Oct. 15th he stated
"I apologize for the delay. We are in the middle of relocating our business. My partner has sent me the errata and responses to your questions here and on the forum. I'll send those out in a few days this coming week.
Thank you...
Josh sent an email to me stating errata will be provided on some problems. that was on 10/15/2011 and no word from him. I emailed him again asking and just waiting.
awesome! thanks for the help on this. I think if i stop working these kaplan problems I'll be good!!!! have the morning done and will hopefully finish the rest here shortly.
thanks for pointing out the real power differences in the solutions - something definitely to look for on the exam...
so you think i shouldn't be getting freaked out about having problem with some of these? the complex imaginary were pretty easy though not sure if that means anything.
thanks. these problems are definitely harder than the ncees so i want to keep tackling them even though it makes you second guess your self a lot. Seems like the comlex imaginary are too easy and the camara are focusing on the EERM. if the exam is like the ncees practice I'll do alright. if...
