I'm trying to calculate Susceptance and conductance values for a three phase transformer using the field test report.
I have excitation current in % (i believe % based on name plate current rating). Voltage is 100% and no load losses in KW.
I'm trying to convert everything to per unit and then...
Take them as long as you know them well. Remember, it's better to have more than less. Just don't count on using every book. Figure out your main references and the rest, they will come in handy when all else fails. I threw in some material on protection and the NESC book last minute and I'm...
The entire book is important. The handbook is big because it has explanations of rules and sample calculations. You may want to familiarize with Appendix for conductor selection and conduit selection. Also motor calculations.
You need to get a basic idea of how to find any topic in the book. The...
I would recommend SPin-up too. Spin-up covers cerain topics like PLCs, batteries, rectifiers and NEC in a better detail than CI. I presonally felt that the level of difficulty of Spin-up is more than CI.
Atleast from the April exam the lesson learnt is not to skip any of the topics.
if you have $20 extra, i would recommned you to spend on Mike Holt's NEC questions. The website has about 4 free tests and with $20 you can get access to ~2000 questions. It includes questions on any topic in the NEC, which is important for P.E exam. I did about 400 questions and I was able to...
My friend took the October exam and he had a bunch of notes in Pencil, he didn't have any issues. I guess best thing would be to put your pencil down to avoid any suspicion
