Record number of attempts for taking the PE Exam?

i want to say last year there was a thread similar to this, and someone said they were on their 10th attempt. i remember hearing stories about some people working for regulatory bodies that had a job requirement to take the exam. not pass it, just continue to take it until passing. so you'd...

Which State has the Coolest Seal Design?

i think most texans would say alaska has a star, while texas has the lone star -- i say this as the owner of a texas stamp. as a proud louisiana native, i'm happy to see the brown pelican on the seal.

What was your post feelings and results of the exam

i walked out of the exam feeling like i probably passed, but didn't want to admit it to myself (Petroleum). 4 of us that took the exam discussed things and we were able to recall ~75 of the 80 questions between us. i felt really confident about 55 of them, and reasonable sure about another 8...

How many P.E.s are there in the U.S.?

i know in petroleum it's not very common to be a PE, since it's just not emphasized within the industry. for example, in 2009 there were something like 650 petroleum engineering graduates in the US, but only 85 people took the PE exam. the total # of graduates has increased steadily since the...

Please tell me how NCEES has an A+ rating with the BBB?

i guess so, but the 8-10 week timeline expectation has been blown out of the water by their performance over the last several years. i don't think it's unreasonable to see how quickly results have been delivered over the past few years and assume that is an achievable timeline for them --...

    Latest update from NCEES

i understand they've got a tough job to do, and i appreciate the effort they make to be accurate. i just think that in this age of everything online, there's a few things they could do that would relieve a lot of anxiety. they do a pretty good job of outlining everything that happens w/ the...
