yes you use the graph. Percent Sand is the Percent Passing the No.4 sieve (4.75mm) minus the percent passing the No. 200 (0.075mm), as indicated in the title bar above the graph.
I realized my error in this problem as I thought more about it. Came down to the symbolism that 6 min solution uses compared to what I was used to see.

I have worked through the breadth sections to a certain comfort level and plan to hit the afternoon (geotech) hard by going back through old textbooks chapter by chapter and then 6 min solutions and practice exams over the next 3 to 4 weeks with the last week a refresher on the breadth section...
I can't say since it is my first time this April, but that is about the # of hours I was planning on spending. Comes down to being able to work through the practice exams and the problems with comfort and adjust as needed.

Did you get the exam from NCEES. What do you think about it. I plan on getting it before the April exam also and was just looking to compare it to the Lindburg practice and 6 min solutions
I'm taking the exam in April for the first time. Started studying this month with focus on Geotech. Also scheduled to take a review/refresher course that starts tomorrow.
