    Transportation PM Important Subjects

If you look at the NCEES Outline for Transportation, you will notice a majority of the afternoon portion comprises of Geometric Design. You should be able to do horizontal and vertical curves as if they were second nature with minimal errors and be able to do them quickly. Be prepared for...

    Transportation PM Important Subjects

I recommend The All in One Guide by Goswami. It definitely helped me pass on my second try. Do a search on the boards....there's lots of info about it.

Post April 2011 Diagnostic Report scores here (xx/80) if you failed

Will, ok it sounds like Water Resources and Wastewater is your depth of choice. Stick to that and learn Wastewater as best you can for the depth. Myself and many others on this board can help you with your transportation in the morning. If you look at the outline given by NCEES, the main...

Post April 2011 Diagnostic Report scores here (xx/80) if you failed

Will, 31/80 and no studying.....wow imagine if you put 110% effort into this exam. Don't fall into the trap of taking the exam without studying. I had a co-worker who struggled with that and finally passed after 6 times after finally putting in the effort he needed. You have to prepare for...

    Goswami or Hoel & Garber

If you are taking the Transportation Depth, I recommend both. Goswami's book is so concise in a good way and the example are easy to understand. The CERM will no doubt be your guide to passing the PE but Goswami's will be just as helpful. Good luck.

TOTPH20, Your experience sounds exactly like mine the first time I took the PE Exam. I passed on the second try and here's some tips I can give you what helped me. First, it's inevitable you're going to dwell on the exam results for a little while and that's ok. Take several weeks off to get...

    Confidence up & down!!!

I know what you guys are going through. There was a state website that shows the listing of all the licensed engineers and I use to check that site to see if my name was on it before the results were released. Such torture! But don't worry....it soon will be over. Good luck guys!

    Goswami Sample Exams

Although I used his exams, I do not currently have the files anymore. Although they were helpful, you should try the NCEES practice problems. Those most resemble the exam type questions. His book is worth gold however. The All in One Guide + CERM, will be more than 50% of what you will need...

    Confidence up & down!!!

Guys, I know exactly how you are feeling. I failed the April 2010 exam and passed the October 2010 exam and both times waiting for the results were nerve wrecking. What I can tell you is that the second time, I had confidence I did better than the first time so it made me forget about the exam...

    Survey Pipe slope Problem

Typically I would assume it is negative (downward) slope. Unless it was a forcemain (pumped sewerline) which flows positive vs. negative.
