    December 2019 Test Results

I did not take a class, self studied using Cuomo textbook/practice exam, boniface practice exams,  mansour practice exams.  I had a lot of material from different friends in terms of summary sheets/cheat sheets. I think what helped best was combing through each one helped me get everything in...

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

Exactly. I didn't really start studying until I had actually nailed down my test dates, but even though I got my authorization late in the quarter (actually even into the quarter I was authorized), there was still a lot of availability. I should have started studying expecting to take it in the...

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

Something I wish I knew before I signed up for my test dates was that you find out your test scores the same time as everybody else who took it that month. December 2019 Survey Results

    November 2019 Test Results

I ended up using Hiner workbook (without videos) and bought the EET practice exams which also came with very helpful cheat sheets (which I heavily used for the exam). I'm glad I passed, but were I to redo i I'd probably go with doing the entire EET package.

    November 2019 Test Results

I’m hoping it comes out today! I shot myself in the foot though because I’m taking surveying this month in December. So if I don’t pass both I have to take them so far apart next year because of the quarter thing.

Advice needed for the Seismic Exam in 2020

I did the Hiner book but also used EET practice exams. Was really impressed with the quality of it so if it fail i will probably do the EET package. I wouldn’t imagine the new Hiner being that much different from the previous version in terms of material besides code.

    Seismic question types

Finished reviewing the Hiner book, his practice test seemed pretty plug/chug and only a few conceptual type questions. When I took the 8-hour I was surprised at how conceptual the questions were instead of plug/chug. Does anybody recall if the seismic exam was pretty conceptual of the questions...
