Took the PE exam twice, first the Power (Failed) and second the Electrical & Electronics (Passed). Found the E&E easier than the Power because of my undergraduate studies. I work in the Power industry however.
Does anyone know a good computer based train control and communications seminar/course to attend that is specifically geared towards EEs. Most train control courses are meant for civil engineers and are very basic.

I'd suggest the REA series of books in communications, electric circuits, and control systems. They have not been updated in a while but are very valuable to get you prepared for the type of questions. I would check out your local library first.
There are new requirements now in order to qualify to take the exam. I Wonder if it is really worth it to go through the process. Anybody have any insight as to how useful the certification really is?
