    Water vs Transportation Depth

What areas did you struggle with? I can recommend some great books for Geotech morning section and the Environmental section in the afternoon. I took the Water/ENV twice before I passed and I had to learn from scratch on several topics. I would definitely recommend studying with more books...

All-in-One Civil PE Exam Guide by Indranil Goswami

I have to agree with Happy. The CERM is a must, the All-in-One has some useful material but I thought it didn't explain problems well at times and was not as user friendly. I will say that All-in-One explains the CPM problems much better than the CERM. Also it has some additional structure...

How much have you spent total for the PE?

I took it twice and had to stay at a hotel since the exam site was 3.5 hours away. With books, exam fee (2nd time only..company paid for 1st attempt), hotel and gas, I calculated over $1,100. And that's without taking a refresher course. If I would have failed the 2nd time, I was planning to...

Civil engineering student with questions about flood protection.

AECOM has a Water division and they're working on multiple FEMA coastal projects right now. Alot of work is being done in California. Perhaps try to apply for internships or co-ops at AECOM's website. I don't know if positions are available but I know of several engineers in our company who...

    NCEES PE Pass rates

I was part of the 40% repeat takers that passed! A much higher percentage than last time (I think it was aorund 25%).

    Passed, Pay Raise?

Won't get a raise but the company gives a $3,000 bonus.

Water Resource and Env. April 11, 2011 PE Exam

Yea I already went thru the disappointment feeling once and it sucked. I did better this time than in Oct but I think this exam was easier overall so I'm going to guess no curve on the morning and maybe one or 2 throw out questions in the afternoon. I'll be right at 70% and that's if...

Water Resource and Env. April 11, 2011 PE Exam

There was a question in the afternoon that I just couldn't get and I knew how to do it. Could have been calulator error. There was another question that had a picture and it was a bit confusing to me. Maybe it was just me though.

Water Resource and Env. April 11, 2011 PE Exam

THought morning was easier than Oct 2010 exam but geotech was the hardest for me. The afternoon seemed more diffcult than last time but they had a better variety of questions. It'll be close.

PE Exam April 2011, how did you feel

Took Civil/Water-ENV. Did anyone else take that depth? If so, how did you feel about it? Looks like I'm the first person to write about it here. I took the Oct exam and I thought the April exam was overall a better exam in terms of typical questions asked. I thought the morning was much...

Wanted: CERM 11th edition practice problems

Update: I have the CERM Practice problems. Still interested in the Environmental dictionary though.

    FAIL!

I didn't see my name on the NC Board website so I'm assuming I failed as well. My co-worker passed and I'm happy for him. He deserved it. I'll be hitting the books for April........only 3 month away. I thought the PE was usually at the end of April. Is there a reason they moved it up...

Wanted: CERM 11th edition practice problems

My name didn't come up on the NC board so I need to start studying again as soon as possible. :( I'm looking to purchase the Practice Problems for the CERM 11th edition. Perhaps from someone who just passed….. Maybe your luck will rub off on me ;) Also, if anyone has an Environmental...
