Since I'm a transplant Californian in Colorado and California is my first PE, I ended up with a signature: John Smith Mechanical Engineer, P.E. Licensed CA Company Name 123 NoName St Denver, CO I think this works well, since I work with clients in multiple states.

Yes! I'm in the License Lookup now. I wasn't in there last night, even though this morning still says last updated December 27, 2011. I searched by my last name. Anyone know if its ok to now use P.E., even though I don't have the official certificate from snail mail yet?

My guess the database gets updated Friday afternoon as soon as letters are mailed. If it doesn't get updated then, the database will be Jan 3rd, due to the weekend and holiday.

California will probably be the last state to issue licenses to those that passed :)

I took the EIT/FE 6 years after graduating university. I didn't think I would pass the exam, especially since I was a field engineer for those 6 years. I signed up for the ppi2pass in-class room (Sacramento, CA) review course for the EIT/FE. I also did every homework problem they assigned...

NCEES is not providing the CA specific exams (Results due on the 30th, per CA). I didn't get an email notifying me either. I just hope its not a cruel joke, a big reason why I want to see my license number, so I can finally relax :)

DB is backup, but not updated. Still has 12/23/11 as last update :/

I've been having the same problem. I checked around 530am this morning and the search wouldn't come up.

I bet it will be after the New Year till we find out our license number. They are probably waiting on the seismic results.

Don't let your license expire, besides paying a late fee, they can also go after you if you use P.E. in your signature while your license is expired. I believe we have to renew our license fairly soon after we get our license.

Yeah, I don't think you can call yourself a P.E. till you receive your license number. The California Board has to certify that you met all requirements, i.e. pass the exam, pass the take home, ...etc. This is probably why the database hasn't been updated yet.

As of 7am Thurs, database has not been updated.
