    Job outlook question

If you're going to spend 4 years in school, I would strongly suggest that you bite the bullet and do a traditional engineering degree. Most of the technicians in my firm are straight CADD techs with some type of associate degrees, with a few who hold bachelor's similar to what you described...

    Failed...looking at review courses

I did Test Masters and their binder helped a lot for the afternoon session. I wouldn't trust everything they say about "this will not be on the exam, don't bother" though cause sure enough, stuff showed up. I'd study everything. If test master is in your area you should at least check it out...

New grad / engineer who feels like he knows nothing!

I've been out of school for 4.5 years and I remember fondly what it was like that first year. I felt like an idiot most of the time (I graduated with a 3.8 so I had no trouble in school) and I wondered why things were never cut and dry in real world projects. My mentor never held my hands but...

Recent grad, first job, negotiate salary?

Hey congrats on taking the job. I agree with the sentiments of many others. A couple thousand bucks won't matter in the grand scheme of things. The important thing is joining a firm you like and getting your experience. I did an internship at a firm and I was offered a job before I graduated. I...

Oct 2012 PE Civil Exam - How did you do ? Morning v/s Afternoon

I thought the morning portion absolutely destroyed me. I walked in feeling pretty confident, but that quickly changed after the fist half hour. I took the entire morning and had to guess on a lot of them--especially the word problems. I did not feel good about it at all. If I had to guess...
