I passed also a 74 in machine design. I took a refresher class and the instructor said that those who make way above the pass score studied to hard. =) :party-smiley-048:

I felt the same way D. Kephart. I felt absolutely confident in the morning and then the afternoon was a kick in the pants. I'll definately have to study the in depth portions more if I need to retake the test. Unfortunately, Texas doesn't have the results back.
I received the same catalog yesterday. I wasn't impressed. But I'm also not getting my hopes up. I bought a Kaplan sample test and I really wasn't impressed with the questions.
The two books I used the most were the MERM and machinery's handbook. My downfall was that I didn't know the format or study from the machinery's handbook as well as I should have. I took other references, but I didn't really use them.
Oh I would also be sure to take a copy of a unit...
Just remember to keep thinking positive and study differently than you did the time before. Don't make the same mistakes. Look at the sheet and figure out where you need to improve. Someone else said to read the ?ERM and actually read it instead of skimming.
