Yes, the continue education is to keep your professional knowledge up to the date, therefore, most of the states exempt you for the continue education before the first renewal（usually the first three years)

I didn't receive it yet. But it has been approved, and in the process of generating the numbers. It takes 3 months for me. The keys are: 1. Provide very detailed experience in your NCEES experience form 2. Keep an eye by calling or emailing them every 2 to 3 weeks.  Good luck, everyone!.

Yes, I agree, now the pay difference between private sector and public sector is not that much especially if you are not senior. It matched my previous salary in consulting firm.

Wow, DanHalen, thank you for your insight. I really appreciate your input. I agree with every sentence you wrote here. I have a family and young kid, job security and work life balance is my priority for now. I will follow your advise to make contacts with others and keep optimistic attitude...

I guess I should pay attention to what I should post here. The grammar, the spelling, etc., all can bother our engineers.  I have another post, and people comment me not having the capital letter for the first word, not having a question mark in the end.
