Looks like everyone else is about the same as me. To help you get an idea where I'm coming from...I took T&F Depth. I felt like the morning was very representative of the 2008 sample. I even recognized "the traps". I finished an hour early (same as sample) went to the RR and relaxed for a...

With 10 days to go, what are you focusing on?

any tips on when to use Log Mean Temp Diff? I'm willing to bet a paycheck it will appear on the test, but I sometimes get confused on when to use it and when not. It seems that it is used on problems where tube area or number of tubes is required. Does anyone have a helpful hint for when to...

With 10 days to go, what are you focusing on?

My plan is: -Complete some MERM problems on: Compressible Flow, Heat Exchangers, Engineering Econ, Psychrometrics -Re-work the depth SMS for T&F -Re-work the NCEES sample exam (for a confidence boost as I made stupid mistakes while earning a low score). 200 hours of studying should be...

    NCEES 2008 Sample Exam # 537

I think I've got it now....when calculating the pellets, you are basically saying that you can use 84% of the pellets to achieve the same result as 1 ton of coal.

    NCEES 2008 Sample Exam # 537

This should be an easy question, but I'm having a mental block. Can someone explain the solution for calculating the ash disposal costs for the Pellets? I don't understand why they took the ratio of coal/pellets. Is there another way to solve this? Thanks in advance.

How do you rate yourself right now?

Seeing as I didn't think I'd have a chance to be prepared for April Exam, I'm proud of myself for how far I've come, but I feel like stupid mistakes will get the best of me. I'm studying hard, but I think I'll be where I need to be for October.

    HVAC Depth References

For a psych chart, I have been using this Carrier one: http://www.handsdownsoftware.com/CARRIER-Chart.PDF I like the different colors, and for someone who will be using it for breadth problems, it's easier to use. There are other manufacturer's charts at handsdownsoftware.com as well (Trane...

    NCEES 2008 #129

Help! OK, on this problem you're given steam properties at 600deg F and 1atm and water at 60degF and 1atm. YOu're trying to find what the quality of the mix would be using equal parts of steam and water. Finding the enthalpy of the steam is easy b/c we know its super heated. However, the...
