Repeat Takers who Passed: Any Advice?

Well i failed my first time (civil - transportation) in April 2017 and took it again this October and passed. So i am really glad its done. i used SOPE first time and it did not help me a lot in the afternoon session. SOPE and CERM handbook are good enough for morning session. My score was 49...

Worse Score This Time by 10%

EET depth was very good. I passed the second time (civil-transportation) here and EET depth helped me a lot. Don't give up. Just hang in there. Good luck buddy. I understand your frustration.

EET was big help for the afternoon. I think for morning, it doesn't matter which course you take, it is all the same. Civil-Transportation here btw...

    PE Civil October 2017

I don't think you lose point when you get it right  and that question gets thrown out. You will keep that point. Actually you would benefit from it. Right ?

Feel good about how you did on the exam?

Just saw a message in a different thread -  Apparently 52 is the pass cut off score for all Civil disciplines....What do you all think?

    PE Civil October 2017

No Way. Are you sure? Sounds low to me. Are you really sure or is it just  a hearsay?? There is no way they could have set a cut score already (less than a week) without doing a thorough analysis of all civil discipline questions... Though I would be happy/ecstatic if that's the case..

Hey, who took the WRE? What did you think?

You can solve it but I am a transportation person. So i knew the direct formula from my afternoon notes. But yes its not easy for non-transportation folks..

    PE Civil October 2017

is it true that every Civil section (WRE, Structures, Transportation etc) have their own cut off score? That would make sense but just checking. Also some one else asked this question too? If a question for some reason was being not counted/eliminated, then does it still count for you in your...

Hey, who took the WRE? What did you think?

That question IMO is a depth afternoon transportation question though it is an easy afternoon session question for a Transportation person. MODERATOR NOTE: 1.  Per your NCEES policy, you are not allowed to discuss or disclose exam specific content.  Please do NOT post questions (or question...

Feel good about how you did on the exam?

So where can we send comments about the exam questions? I thought there were a couple of questions which either needed more information or just didn't look like solvable. Any email address or just the NCEES helpline email id?

    October 2017 Transportation

I just hope they throw out a couple of questions in the morning session especially the transportation questions.. that way we can score on them and up our percentage ..

    October 2017 Transportation

I think the morning session was around average to a little better than average. Missed 3 or so theory questions and atleast 1-2 problems. So I am looking at potential 29 score if I didn't miss any others.  Afternoon session was OK. Yeah road side guide and mutcd questions also.  Guessed on 4 I...
