I thought the six-minute solutions were a good guide for the type of problems that I saw on the exam. You're correct, some of the 6-minute solutions take longer than 6 minutes to solve, but it's the concepts that you need to understand. I am not a Geotech by trade, and I have to say I was...

I don't know of a good reference, but there are a few key concepts in the 6-minute solutions (PM section) that I would make sure to know. Those two points could make all the difference.

I used a wheeled suitcase. Only take the references that you studied with and are familiar with, otherwise you can waste a lot of time searching in a book you haven't used since college.
