    Drawing Strom Drains in Profile

Thanks ptatohed! Your answer makes perfect sense to me. Thanks again for taking the time to write that.

    Drawing Strom Drains in Profile

Thanks for the feedback everyone. So from what I gather the "correct" way to properly draw in the pipe diameter would be to offset parallel/perpendicular along the slope versus going in the vertical direction, but in practice drawing the profiles this way is difficult if the scale isn’t 1:1. In...

    Drawing Strom Drains in Profile

When drawing a storm drain system in profile view, why is the pipe diameter shown in the vertical direction as opposed to perpendicular to the slope of the pipe? Drawing the pipes in the vertical direction seems counterintuitive since in the field when a pipe is placed along a slope the diameter...

Is this your pet peeve too?

Well, it look like we wouldn't have crossed paths at all. Nice to see another fellow Aztec on here.

Is this your pet peeve too?

I think he meant South Dakota State University. On a related note, I also went to SDSU (San Diego State University). Graduated in 2008. When did you graduate? Very likely we crossed paths at some point.

    Licensed or Registered

Yup, that's the section I was referring to. Thanks for answering the question on my behalf. I ended up ordering a stamp with licensed on it because I thought it sounded better than registered.

    Licensed or Registered

Thanks guys. Well, the board rules allow us to use either one so I think I'll go with licensed. To me, it sounds better than registered and implies that I actually had to pass a test as opposed to simply registering for something. I hope they don't mess up and send me registered though...

    Licensed or Registered

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm going to order my stamp and I have the option of using either "licensed" or "registered" before Professional Engineer. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Also, I don't have to put an expiration date here in California, bu should I have them put a...

April 2012 CA-Survey Exam cancelled statewide?

I'm glad to hear they came to a resolution. I have some questions though...the Board would have no choice but to give different exams with different questions in order to stop those people who took the test first from discussing what was on it right? If so, how would they compare everyone's...

The future of the California seismic & survey exams?

Thanks! Let's hope I don't have to take them in October ;)

The future of the California seismic & survey exams?

I sat for the seismic and survey exams today in Del Mar, CA. While we were waiting for the whole survey issue to be worked out, I was chatting with the proctor for my row when he told me "this is the last time California will be giving the seismic and survey exams. NCEES will be doing them from...

    Seismic and Survey Point Value

Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling that was old information.

    Seismic and Survey Point Value

I thought all questions were equally weighted but I'm reading that they each have their own point value. Is this true or is this outdated information? Thanks!
