Help wanted - Table of Contents Collaboration NEC Handbook

You, my friend are a saint. I have been looking for a keyword index. I didn't really feel like taking on the task of parsing a 1500 page manual. Thanks! I have found it helpful to write down the names of the tables to help commit them to memory, so I may do that just for familiarization sake.

Help wanted - Table of Contents Collaboration NEC Handbook

I've starting making a Table of Contents for the Tables and Figures in the 2011 NEC Handbook. I've made it through the first 340 pages, copying down all of the table names and page numbers. Does anyone want to help? We can post the completed list here to share. I can take pages 1-500. Any...

    Thanks, I'll try that.

    NEC 2011

There are some free code questions on the Mike Holt page (http://www.mikeholt.com/codeQuizzes.php). He also has a small index there, but I really am looking for a ridiculously detailed index to open in case of emergencies.

    NEC 2011

Do any of you know if there is a better index available? It seems like every time I go to look something up in the code, I can never find it in the index. I found a program called PDF Index Generator, but it costs $50 and I don't know if it really works. Thanks!

    NCEES Power #531

I realize know that you can't use power triangles because it is a purely reactive load. Hopefully someone else doesn't spend as much time on this problem as I did.

    NCEES Power #531

Ok I was confused once again, so hopefully you can learn from my mistakes. On NCEES, Power exam #531: From here, I made the mistake of saying that the impedance angle was -45 and I was trying to use powere triangles to come up with 5000 MVAR. But the impedance angle is 90, so:

    Camara Exam 1 #4

I am confused about the solution to #4. 3 phase transformer, 3600kVA, Z = 7.5%, turns ratio=25, Vpri = 11kV. Assume line value is base value. Find Z actual on secondary. The solution says Zbase = V base / (sqrt(3) * I base) I don't think this is true for both wye and delta transformers and...

Best Prep. Course for PE- Electrical-Power

Any good or bad experiences with the ppi2pass Power Passing Zone? The course is only $325, so I imagine the content may not be as great as the GA tech course, but I'd rather not pay out the extra $600. I took the NCEES sample exam and got about 75% on the morning session. I would like a...

    NCEES #512 explanation

After taking a break and re-reading everything, I think I understand it. I just misinterpreted what I was reading.

    NCEES #512 explanation

I agree with what you guys are saying here about the parallel paths. That is how I finally reasoned it out. But if you look in the 2011 handbook, Calculation Example 2 for Table 9, it doesn't agree. That example uses 3 wires and they never divide by 3. On a side note, I have been staring...
