Anybody know where to get the stamp we must have that states "... it is a violation of this law for any person to alter any document that bears the seal of a professional engineer, unless the person is acting under the direction of a licensed professional engineer..."

Just got my PE. Looking to order a stamp, but I am a bit confused as to what numbers to put on the stap. The NYS Law just states to put your license number on there, but there is an 8 digit number (with the 16 in front), or just the following 6 numbers?

Whooooooo... Got ym license number on Friday afternoon! What number do we put on our stamp? Do we include the whole 8 digits (including the 16 at the beginning)?

I am also interested in the insurance in NY. I currently work full-time for a large consulting firm, but I plan on doing some side consulting as well.

Around $900. $375 (I think) to apply to NY for approval to sit. $250 (or abouts) to the proctoring company $200 for CERM and practice problems. Paid for day of the test. First time pass.

I am also interested in hearing others input on salaries and time waited to get license in NY.

So, we have passed, and now we wait another 4 weeks for NY to issue us a number and get us our certificate? What are the next steps we need to take?

Lots of passes on here? Looked like more fails in other states?

New York State - PE Exam. How long after you handed in the application packet did you receive your letter of acceptance to sit for teh PE exam? Thansk for any help/info.
