I read CERM but can't find any problem of this sort to clear up my confusion on the subject. Could someone please tell me what is the TDH, given this diagram? Based on my understanding, I chose 124' (distance b/w the inlet and outlet center line of the pump). This is assuming that friction and velocity head is not included or is not given in the problem statement. Is this correct?

TDH=Ht(d)-Ht(s)=150'-50'=100'

So in other words it's the total vertical rise between the source water level surface to the destination reservoir water surface level?

^^^Yes, it's equivalent to the kinetic energy of the system...

TDH=discharge head-suction head (neglecting friction and velocity)
