I emailed them earlier this afternoon asking if they had an estimate of how long until they release the scores. Response:

Thank you for contacting the New York State Board for Engineering and Land Surveying.

Within the next week or so. Check the NCEES website.

We hope this information is helpful.

So it'll probably be a few days, but most likely before Christmas.

But that probably won't keep everyone from jabbing their F5 button and overloading the NCEES site...........

Don't you just login and it's there to download? That's what other people have said. It doesn't e-mail it to you.

I couldn't get my diagnostic either. I had to look at what I posted on the boards to see what I totaled in April. (52/80).

Wasn't able to get my last diagnostic, either. More then a few attempts.

I did just go through my old emails to see when I was notified about the last exam.

April Exam was on the 8th.
Notified by email from NCEES on 6/1 at around 5 PM.
That's 54-days.
October exam on 10/28
Plus 54-days puts us at this Wednesday the 21st.

But who knows.....

I sent an email to a person at Castle, whom was chasing me for payment for the exam lol, and asked when the results would be released, and the answer is:

"Hello,

All I can tell you is that they are in the final approval stages for release. It will be very soon but I can’t tell you when."

I'm in four-alarm mode here. Trying not to think about it. I'm completely unsure of how I did so the suspense is killing me.

Right there with you, guys. Our field has such a high level of individual accountability, yet we are at the mercy of state governments who can pass the buck indefinitely. Gotta love the irony.

What do you guys think about all the studying hours, paperwork (yrs of experience), etc to get the license vs the salary of a licensed engineer in NY? I'm asking that because I took the CFA level 1 on Dec 3 (I have a MPA in public finance/int'l econ) I only had 4 weeks to study for it, it wasnt enough time to cover all the topics but let me tell you that it was way much easier than the PE exam.

i think engineering is the most underpaid profession considering how stressful it is, no job security and high responsibilities....let alone all the schooling and exams...

Is there any information you can pass on, for as to when the results for NYS may be released. Thanks for any information, the suspense is killing all of NY (engineers).

Response:

Hello, I am hoping very soon. They are in the final approval stage. Please be patient. Regards,
