Senior Technical Safety Engineer

Crucial safety counselling and design
One of your key responsibilities is to take technical safety discipline responsibility in projects. In doing so, you will be responsible for the safety strategy of, for example new installations and modules. Coordination of technical information between disciplines both internally and externally to the client is an inherent part of the job. You will primarily be working on offshore projects, both multidisciplinary as well as single discipline projects. We have a high focus on knowledge sharing and competence development as well as developing tools and procedures. Therefore, another responsibility is to act as a mentor and guide for younger colleagues.

We have developed advanced analytical tools to account for all possible hazards. From all possible hazards, such as gas explosions, to fires, boat impacts, earthquakes, helicopter crashes, dropped objects and flying fragments. Our services include technical risk and safety analyses at all levels.

- Establish governing Health and Safety documentation and philosophies
- Develop strategies for Technical Safety disciplines
- Follow-up to ensure that project design satisfies safety requirements
- Perform risk and consequence analyses (Fire, explosion, etc.)
- Lead HAZID and HAZOP workshops
- Perform escape, evacuation, rescue and recovery assessments
- Produce design reviews/verifications

To be a success in this position, we imagine that you have:
- Bachelor or Master of Safety, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Min. 5-8 years' experience from oil and gas or similar industries such as process industry
- Experience with multidiscipline projects
- Min. 3 years' experience related to hazard identification and evaluation techniques (HAZOP, HAZID, ALARP, LOPA, etc.)
- Excellent English skills both spoken and in writing
