Tuesday post.

Going to die from 2 grad courses this summer semester post.

Man-up Fox, I took four grad courses one semester so I could get it done and over with.
I was waiting for someone to respond with something like this. Were you working full time in a fast-paced engineering profession at the time? That would also be in addition to my small computer business and PE consulting on the side. ;)

Grad school over summer? I hated grad school in general so I doubt I would have survived the summer.
Ya generally this wasn't an option. But I found 1 of the outside dept. course offered over summer (accelerated) and a power plant course with a different university that I can transfer to my grad. degree (also accelerated). Which as Ram pointed out, will allow me to graduate much sooner.

There's this guy in the lunch room right now who's literally eating a piece of plain bread and a can of spam. No joke. LOL

Yep, was working full time at the time. Can't say I had a side business or consulting at the time though. Meant no disrespect of course. Having been through that process twice (MSME and MSEM) I feel your pain.

None taken. And I bow to you sir. These MTU courses are so specialized making the material very difficult. My final exam for power system analysis was 48 pages long. My power electronics final project was something like 45 pages (1/2 being Matlab & Mathematica code). Again, I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but I can't see having either of those together, let alone 2 more on top of THAT. There's no way I could have stayed in productive in the test labs at my current job.

EM = engineering management?

Yup. In many ways the MSEM was a lot easier than the MSME. Having to work on the thesis drove me crazy. It was months of MATLAB and ANSYS modeling, report writing etc. (as you're well aware).

The hardest part with the MSEM was studying for the PE while wrapping up the last semester. Best of luck Fox and stick to it - definitely worth it at the end!

Now you're just showing off.... :p

And I'm in it to win it. Will definitely be worth it in the end. :)
