Oregon. expensive e.g $375 fee. Slow to approve exams. Rude staff. Issues ignored by board or shelved by staff. Doesn't respond to problems and little participation in setting new engineering law.

What is the worst state board.

Why new York? Exams! .... what makes ny state bad?

My list is

1) price of services ....

2) speed of services ...

3) responsiveness

4) competitive with other States .... will I be better off in a nearby state?.... will a pr lose a job offer in Oregon to a Washingtonite ;(

5)number of out of state PE working in my state versus resident PE

6) quality of staff

7) strong leading participation in national Engineering forums, Museums, academics, regional forums. Recognition nationally as a major force

8) leadership in regional specific issues (quakes, tsunami)

9) defends engineers ethics ....

10) quality of regs and law leadership

11) works with other States to share costs in admin and software

12) takes on hard issues... 20k dangerous buildings in Portland will fail in major quake.

13) attends every major national conference

14) Best engineers in state compete to be on board.

DLeg would have an opinion on this.......
I have intentionally avoided answering this.... but let me just say, if your state Board has been kicked out of NCEES, then it should rank among the worst. As far as I know, my state board is the only one with that distinction.

Among other complaints.
