For example on my seismic exam I had no wood questions if I need to retake it will it most likely not have woods questions. Or surveying had a bunch of temperature corrections on the tape will this reappear.

Just curious. Wood is my least favorite topic of seismic.

The content of the questions that appear each time is driven by the Test Plan specifications for each of the two California Civil exams. You can access those test plans here Examination Reference Materials - Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists

Without getting too deep into the topic, the percentage posted for each exam domain area is what you need to expect. or example, for content areas II and III in the Seismic Exam test plan, you can expect to have questions covering all types of structures, wood, concrete, steel, etc. per that test plan.
