Hello Friends ,
For the section 2.18 of Mechanical PE reference book , I have reviewed some material and all are having different method for below topic , which is confusing for me and want to learn
for the failure mode : Failure by bearing stress : reference books says A= projected area of single rivet =td
what if there are multiple rivets in same row ? or multiple rivets with multiple row ?
do we need to count total number of rivets for that ? just like Shear mode of failure or not ?
Shigley solved and unsolved problems are not having same solution , (some are with total rivet counted and some are only one rivet)
I assume this is one of the important topic for the exam and I have my exam next week, your help will be appreciated
