Old Exam Books

I found an old exam practice test, written around 1962 - 1969

I was wondering if the problems in that book are similar to the problems that would be on the test.

I am at work right now and can not remember the name of the book, but I do not think I have ever seen someone mention the author.

Also, are there any sites that have a few sample questions. I have just started looking at studying for the October 2013 exam

From what I have been told, the exam has changed much since that time. The current format is 100% multiple choice, and others tell me that the exam was formerly 100% open answer, and then a mixture of the two.

I would recommend obtaining a more recent text. Mechanical Engineering Reference Manual by Lindeburg is the definitive resource.

I do have the MERM, but I can not recall what edition it is.
