Yep. Past results releases being early should be considered a favor, not a contract.

I'm sick of many of the posters in that thread, and ready for a break.

I'm not opposed to it being shut down for a break. but all that will do is shift the ranting and negative feelings to various different threads. It may be better to have it all in one place to monitor and tone down the really bad stuff. Let's face it, it's only going to get worse until the results come out.

That makes it sound like the 8-10 weeks is a contract... Which we all know it's not.

Or the ~~we wouldn't be able to have vague deadlines~~ it happens? especially if your project has a field component.  

Honestly, 2 weeks is pretty tight in geotechnical work.

Yeah, the way they word their stuff makes it open-ended (“typically”). But, if it’s been over 10 weeks, i’d Definitely start asking questions at that point.
