The following test results were obtained from for a wastewater sample taken at the headworks to a wastewater treatment plant. Aoll of the tests were performed using a 50-mL sample size. Determine concentration of:
1. Total Solids (TS);
2. Total Volatile Solids (TVS);
3. Suspended Solids (SS); and
4. Volatile Suspended Solids (VSS).
The sampling data are:
Tare mass of evaporating dish = 53.5433 g
Mass of evaporating dish plus residue after evaporating at 105 deg C = 53.5793 g
Mass of evaporating dish plus residue after ignition at 550 deg C = 53.5742 g
Tare mass of Whatman GF/C filter = 1.5433 g
Residue on Whatman GF/C filter after drying at 105 deg C = 1.5553 g
Residue on Whatman GF/C filter after ignition at 550 deg C = 1.5531 g
Results are provide in
