A major company in the transparent armor industry is looking for a process engineer.

Location: Emporia VA.

General description:
The Process Engineer will serve as the engineering and technical expert for all production processes and engineering projects related to his departments; assist, train and certify production to increase efficiency and quality while reducing waste; solving production and customers technical issues while using engineering resources.

General responsibilities:
- Monitoring all processes related to the departments on the manufacturing floor.
- Creating and implementing new instructions and procedures.
- Testing new processes, materials and solutions for production.
- Analyzing waste and reducing it in the relevant departments.
- Training and certifying production personal.
- Conducting internal FAIs for any new or updated Products in the relevant departments.
- Designing and updating drawings.
- Increasing efficiency for the relevant manufacturing departments and QC.
- Submitting quarterly and yearly goals and KPIs to the engineering manager.
- Creating and documenting, according to the engineering department procedures, process related procedures and instructions for manufacturing departments.
- Using the Root Cause Analysis system to reduce reoccurrence of issues related to process.
- Documenting and publishing test reports.

Qualification/Requiemrnts
- Excellent technical skills.
- BS degree in Material, Mechanical, chemical engineering or a related field.
- Analytical thinker with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well independently and with a team
- Knowledge and experience in CAD and analytical softwares.
- Problem solver with analytical abilities to examine an organization's operating procedures and make recommendations on improvements.
- Good knowledge and experience in MS programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
