Seeking qualified Electrical Engineers in the Baltimore-Washington, DC area. We are a leading engineering firm providing a range of professional services in electrical engineering for government, healthcare and institutional buildings. The candidate would be responsible for designing government building electrical systems including plan layouts, schedules and shop drawing reviews. Will also evaluate and quantify existing facilities systems. As a member of our team you may:

  • Design of electrical systems
  • Performing calculations
  • Equipment selection and specification
  • Construction administration, drawings review, response to requests for information
  • Interfacing with clients and attending meetings
  • Site visits to verify that the work complies with what the contract states, codes, standards, etc.
  • Providing direction and assistance to junior staff.
  • Perform field analysis with associated reports and presentations
  • Travel approximately 6-12 times a year
  • Ability to multi-task including directing staff, mentoring other engineers, producing documents. and coordinating with other trades.
Job Requirements

  • Professional engineering registration required
  • LEED Certification desired
  • 12+ years of electrical design
  • Experience with electrical power, lighting, low-voltage, communications, and related systems.
  • Experience with emergency generators and physical plant systems
  • Be able to review design and construction submittals, trouble shoot systems, and assist the project managers and quality assurance personnel.
  • Federal and/or federal healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience with non-traditional contract vehicles such as design/build
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills; strong organizational skills
  • AutoCAD experience and experience with Revit required.
  • Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present clear and technically sound engineering strategies
  • Leadership skills required
  • Personnel management skills
  • Eligibility for a clearance with the US government
  • Certified low-voltage designer desired
  • Lighting design experience desired
